Description

The Vox AV60 comes equipped with two 12AX7 tubes—one for the preamp and one for the power amp—for an even more dynamic sound. Thanks to its 60V design, the vacuum tubes can be fully utilised, producing natural, powerful distortion reminiscent of some of the most iconic tube amplifiers.

Four slide switches allow you to modify the response of the vacuum tube peripheral circuitry. Two switches control the preamp tubes: one boosts higher frequencies, while the other boosts the low end. For the power tubes, the BIAS switch selects either a clear, modern sound or a more distorted tone. The Reactor switch lets you vary the amount of feedback, changing the damping factor for a more dynamic, wide-ranging and crisp sound.

Vox are no strangers to providing high-quality effects on their amplifiers, and the AV60 is no exception. Featuring modulation, delay and reverb, this model packs in all the essentials. Each effect can be controlled independently for impressive tonal-shaping capability.

Combined with the tonal versatility of the selectable power amp circuit, the Vox AV60 also features eight selectable amp models, ranging from clean and crunch to high gain. Each amp model has its own distinct tonal flavour and can be further modified with the 3-band EQ and switchable power amp circuit. Additionally, the headphone output incorporates cabinet emulation for realistic presence and cabinet warmth—perfect for silent practice.
