This guitar processor represents a huge leap forward in guitar technology—it feels and sounds like analogue gear. The dual DSP engine accurately recreates the dynamic feel of tube amplifiers, not just their sonic fingerprint. Each stage of an amp's circuit has been measured and matched to the original, so that each model reacts and interacts like the real thing.

This level of dynamic circuit detail extends into areas such as power supply ripple, individual tube sag and control over B+ voltages. Once these elements are captured, you get classic bloom and gooey compression from some amps, with a more powerful punch from others. Helix Rack also lets you load custom impulse responses, allowing you to personalise your rig setup.

Massive power can sometimes come with a steep learning curve, but Helix Rack is designed to be intuitive. The large 6.2" 800 x 480-pixel LCD display all but eliminates menu diving and provides the same level of control that you would expect from an external editor. When it comes to creating legendary tones, Helix Rack is ready whenever you are.

Helix Rack is controllable through almost any MIDI-capable device, but adding Helix Control gives you the same innovative capabilities found in the floor-based Helix. With Pedal Edit Mode, you can edit parameters using your foot: simply select the block you want to tweak and its parameters spill out onto the Helix Control footswitches. Select a parameter, then adjust its value using one of three optional expression pedals.

Helix Rack with Helix Control is a fast and flexible tone creator. With four stereo paths per preset, you can design complex routing scenarios for each patch. Creating variations on wet and dry routing schemes is as easy as loading a template or tweaking the joystick, while the onboard effects models and four freely assignable effects loops offer huge tonal possibilities.

Helix Rack can become the nerve centre of your entire guitar rig. Easily integrate traditional effects pedals and other hardware, creating a seamless hybrid rig that incorporates the best of software and hardware. Its dynamically allocating DSP and four effects loops can connect four separate pedal chains, or be split into freely assignable inputs and outputs.

With four stereo paths, you can process multiple instruments at once, send wet and dry signals to different destinations and create large integrated systems that take advantage of both digital and analogue I/O. Helix Rack also provides extensive MIDI control, sending up to six separate commands at patch recall. Change a patch on a synth, start a sequence and adjust an external mixer with a single patch change.

Add AES/EBU digital I/O, Word Clock sync, support for three expression pedals, CV/expression output and external amp switching, and Helix Rack can become the command centre for rigs of any size.

Helix Control

With so many amps, effects and variable settings in the Helix Rack, Line 6 developed a comprehensive footswitch controller that can adjust individual parameters or switch between preset settings—perfect for live performances. Its twelve capacitive touch-sensitive footswitches with LED indicator rings make switching between settings easy, even in low-light situations.

Each footswitch features a fully backlit LCD scribble strip that can be customised with any label you need for quick reference and a more streamlined performance. The RGB LED rings around each footswitch can also be set to any desired colour, making it easy to identify patches at a glance and minimise on-stage confusion.

Designed for touring and heavy use, the Helix Control is constructed from premium components and hard-wearing metal for reliable, long-lasting performance.
