Description
2007 Gibson J‑160E, a reissue of one of Gibson’s most historically significant acoustic-electrics. First introduced in 1954, the J‑160E was among the earliest acoustic guitars to feature a built-in pickup, designed specifically for stage use in an era before modern acoustic amplification. Its ladder-braced laminated top and single P‑90 pickup gave it a distinctive, punchy sound that became closely associated with The Beatles—both John Lennon and George Harrison famously used J‑160Es throughout the early 1960s.
This 2007 model captures the essence of that original design while benefiting from Gibson’s modern build consistency. It is in excellent condition, complete with its original hard case and paperwork.
