Description

Released in 1984 alongside the PC-2 Percussion Synthesizer, the Boss HC-2 Hand Clapper is a rare, vintage analogue hand clap synthesizer. Built around a white noise circuit similar to the legendary Roland TR-808 and TR-909 drum machines, the HC-2 provides dedicated, hands-on control over your clap sounds. It features an integrated touch-sensitive rubber trigger pad that can be played by hand or with drumsticks, alongside controls for sensitivity, dry tone filtering, and reverberation tail length. In addition to manual pad triggering, a 1/4" trigger input jack allows it to be synced directly with drum machines or sequencers such as the Roland TR-606 or Boss DR-55, making it a highly desirable collector's piece and studio tool for synth enthusiasts and electronic producers.
