The Marshall Direct Recording Pre-Ampis in essence a complete Marshall stack inminiature, despite it’s compact size theDRP-1 uses micro electronic techniques toemulate the tone and feel of a typicalMarshall pre-amp, power amp andloudspeaker cabinet. This allows therecording and reproducing of great guitarsounds with the minimum of fuss andwithout the need to set-up and mic yournormal guitar amp rig.

The benefits of the DRP-1 can be utilisedbeyond the realms of the home studio.For instance the built-in stereo headphoneamplifier can be coupled to your favouriteeffects processor to give your personalpractice routines the realism of your stagesound. Alternatively, use the DRP-1 pluggedinto the front end of your normal guitar ampto fully ‘Marshallize’ it.

Another use of the DRP-1 is to go directinto the PA from the emulated line-out. Thisis especially handy for rehearsal, whereinstead of transporting your main systemalong, you can turn up with the DRP-1 andjust plug in and play.

In addition to the guitar uses, the DirectRecording Pre-Amp can be used to addwarmth and another dimension to keyboards,especially when mixed with the originalsound.
